Japan Medical Insurance and Hospitals

If you need to go to the hospital in Japan , it is very useful to know where to find English speakers. Reception desks at Japanese medical facilities are generally open from 8:30am to 11:30pm on weekdays. When attending a hospital, be sure to bring your Japan medical insurance card and hand it over to the nurse at the reception desk. Even if you are not covered for the Out-patient benefits, it is always advisable to have your Japan medical insurance card with you at all times.
