Dental Insurance
Dental healthcare is very expensive in most countries. Many expatriate companies do not offer their employees proper dental coverage, and a large majority of companies do not include any dental coverage. This is a major reason why expatriates decide to add international dental insurance to their medical insurance plan.
There are two different types of coverage for international dental insurance: Routine Dental Treatment
Benefits for this plan include:
- Examinations
- Cleaning
- Fillings
- Root Treatment
- Emergency Dental Treatment
- Surgery
- Prescriptions
- X-rays
- Local Anesthesia
- Occlusion Bar
Special Dental Treatment
Benefits for special dental treatment plans cover all of the above and:
- Tooth Adjustment
- Bridgework
- Treatment of Gingivitis
- Root Scaling and Membrane Treatment
- Gold Jackets, Porcelain Crowns, Temporary Crowns, Gold Inlay
- Dentures
Pre-existing conditions will usually be covered by an international dental insurance plan, but most likely, a waiting period of 12-24 months will be enforced.
