Special Dental Treatment in foreign dental insurance plan

While Routine International Dental Insurance plans cover the dental basics such as cleaning, fillings and examination, they will often not offer coverage for some of the more serious dental treatments. However, most International Dental Insurance plans will give you a Special Dental Treatment option. Special Dental Treatment includes:

Bridgework : A fixed appliance (prosthesis) that replaces missing teeth. A bridge is a series of crowns

Repairs : Procedures performed to restore the missing part of the teeth. Be aware, some insurance companies that offer International Dental Insurance only consider the fillings to be restorative

Gingivitis : Gum disease and its related treatment.

Root Scaling : Deep cleaning of the teeth to remove plaque below the gum line.

Crowns : When the tooth cannot be restored by a filling, a crown is usually fabricated. Cover includes gold jackets, porcelain crowns, gold inlay and temporary crowns

Dentures : A removable appliance (prosthesis) that replaces all or some of the teeth in either the upper or lower jaw.

Carefully review what is included in different International Dental Insurance Plans to make a decision which would be the best one for you. For addition information, or for an advice regarding your International Dental Insurance, contact us.
