Overall Maximum Benefit in International health insurance policy

Almost every insurance company has an "overall maximum benefit" indicated in the international health insurance policy. This amount differs depending on the insurance company as well as on the premium the policyholder agrees to pay. There are usually two types of "overall maximum benefit" that change based on the international health insurance policy:

Lifetime Maximum Benefit - A benefit value which is usually given by the insurance company regarding a policyholder with a chronic condition. It indicates the maximum amount the insurance company is willing to pay for medical bills related directly to that particular condition.

Annual Maximum Benefit - This is a benefit amount granted to each person per insurance year. As you renew your international health insurance policy, this amount would be renewed as well. This way, the total of your medical costs during an insurance policy year does not matter as long as it doesn't surpass the "maximum benefit" noted in the international health insurance policy.
