Out-patient and dental treatments are usually paid for, up front, by the patient. The costs incurred are then recovered from the International Medical Insurance company. Most claim procedures will require you to submit a claim within three months of the time treatment was received. The claims department will process the claim and reimburse the client after they have factored any deductibles present in the plan.
For certain out-patient claims, a Treatment Guarantee form may need to be completed by your physician prior to treatment taking place. At Expat Medical Insurance we have a dedicated claims team who are able to help you understand different claims procedures. They can give you advice or completely take on the process. All they need are the original receipts and a completed claims form in order to submit and chase the insurer for reimbursement.
